St. Patricks Boys v Kilree Celtic
prem cup 10/04 11:00
St. Patricks Boys 1 - 3 Kilree Celtic
It took extra time to separate the sides as Kilree booked a place in the the quarter finals of the Premier Cup. In a tight a cagey first half there was little goalmouth action as both teams struggled to find their rhythm. It was wasn't until 3 minutes before the break that a clear chance and a goal arrived and it fell to St Pats. Liam Byrne crossing for Ethan O'Neill to put the Boys ahead at the break. Kilree responded in the second half and after dominating possession the equaliser finally arrived 15 minutes from time, Chris Blake setting Mark MacDonald through on goal, his shot was saved but the ever alert Alan Salter was on hand to tap home the rebound for 1-1. Salter had another good chance late on but couldn't convert and it was on to extra time. Kilree were still in control and got their noses in front just before half time in extra time, Mark MacDonald finding the net from the edge of the box to put the visitors ahead. The game was put to bed with 5 minutes left, Chris Blake was hauled down for a penalty and Salter duly converted to ease any nerves and send Kilree through to reward the efforts of Stephen Salter, Chris Blake, Paul Kehoe and Darragh O'Meara. Best for St Pats were Anto Lawlor, Chris Gaul and Danny Moran.

St. Patricks Boys v Parkville United
Prem League 27/03 11:00
St. Patricks Boys 2 - 1 Parkville United
In this game where third from top played third from bottom it was St Pats that upset a fancied Parkville side. In an even and keenly contested first half Parkville had slightly better of the early play. Cian Doran will count himself unlucky to have a goal chalked off for offside midway through the half, another effort from Doran brought a great save from the Pats keeper. The hosts made the most of those let offs when they took the lead 10 minutes before half time, David Brennan's cross from the left headed into the net by a United defender to see the Boys into the break 1-0 up. There was little between the sides in the second half, Parkville had better possession with Pats looking dangerous on the break. With 15 minutes left Parkville turned their possession into a goal, Jack O'Neill made yards down the right wing before crossing for Michael Dobosz to power home the equaliser. TJ Kavanagh then teed up Dobosz but this time his effort was saved. It was then Pats turn and Ethan O’Neill cut in off the wing before unleashing a shot which Jason Murphy saved but the keeper was powerless to stop Chris Gaul's follow up and Pats had their winner. Best for the hosts on the day included Anto Lawlor, Cathal Ryan and Vinny Dowling while impressing for Parkville were Cian Doran, Lee Kavanagh and Jamie Walsh.

St. Patricks Boys v Slaney Rovers
Prem League 20/03 11:00
St. Patricks Boys 0 - 3 Slaney Rovers
Rovers put an end to a 5-match winless run with 3 second half goals to see off the hosts on Sunday. St Pats were much the better side in the first half but despite enjoying the lion’s share of possession and chances they couldn't find a way past Fergal Harmon in the Rovers goal and the it was goalless at the break. The introduction of Daniel O'Brien and Peter Kehoe changed the balance of play completely and Rovers took full advantage. The opening goal arrived on 70 minutes, Mick Foley was fouled on the right-hand side of the penalty area and Daniel O'Brien fired the resulting free kick to the net. 10 minutes later it was 2-0, Joe Thompson's pass found Kehoe and he made no mistake from 6 yards to double the lead. With time almost up another assist from Thompson set up Kehoe for his second and Rovers third, all 3 goals coming from the substitutes. The result means Pats remain 4 points above the drop and barring a minor miracle in the last few games from Dolmen their Premier status should be safe. Rory McKernan, Shane Murphy, and Robert Ryan impressed for Rovers while Pats best on the day included David Brennan, Danny Moran and Adam Kerfah

Hanover Harps v St. Patricks Boys
u19 cup 19/03 14:30
Hanover Harps 1 - 4 St. Patricks Boys

A 4-1 win away to Hanover, was not the result many would have seen coming, except those who were present to see this game. Hanover picked this game to put in their poorest performance of the season, but that should not take away from St Pat's victory. The best team on the day won. Harps struggled to get into the game and were disjointed all over the field. Pat's took the lead when, following a corner, Pat's John Hayes unmarked, powered a header to the net. Half time couldn't come quick enough for Harps and with minutes to go Pat's doubled their lead when a total lapse of concentration let Cian Kelly in to head past Jason Brennan and tap into the net. A change of shape and set up in the second half saw Harps come back into the game and they reduced the lead when a Brandon Kelly free was headed to his own net by Pat's centre half. Harps had opportunities to level the game but couldn't get the ball over the line.

Pat's regained their 2 goal lead when a mix up in defence let them in to score and it was rounded off with a penalty minute's from the end, scored by Kian Kelly. Pat's by far the better team and thoroughly deserved their win.

Dolmen Celtic v St. Patricks Boys
Prem League 06/03 11:00
Dolmen Celtic 1 - 4 St. Patricks Boys
St Pats almost certainly secured Premier Division football next season and left Dolmen hanging by a thread to their Premier status after this game on Sunday. Dolmen will need at least 4 points from their last 3 games to have a chance of staying up, a big ask with all their matches against the top 3 sides. The visitors began the better of the teams here and were 2 up inside 20 minutes. Chris Gaul opened the scoring with a neat finish and Thomas Murphy doubled the lead moments later with a 20 yard volley. Dolmen regrouped and pulled a goal back on the half hour, Kieran Nolan's header beating Doyle in the Pats goal. Pat's blew a glorious chance to restore their 2 goal advantage before half time when they were awarded a penalty but Jamie Hennessy saved Bobby Doogue's spot kick. Chis Gaul had a couple of chances early in the second half before Celtic cranked up the pressure in their persuit of an equaliser. Joe Doran, Danny Thompson and Keelan Lacey all causing real problems for the Pats backline. Chances came and went for Celtic though and with 10 minutes left they paid a heavy price, Gaul pouncing twice in as many minutes to complete his hat trick and leave Dolmen with an uphill task to avoid the drop. Beast for St Pat's on the day were Chris Gaul, Bobby Doogue, David Brennan and Thomas Murphy.

Crettyard United v St. Patricks Boys
Prem League 27/02 11:00
Crettyard United 7 - 0 St. Patricks Boys

Crettyard United 7

St Patrick's Boys 0

A devastating first half showing from United and Lee Salter saw them ease past St Pat's to maintain the pressure on New Oak at the top. The opening goal arrived on 11 minutes, Jack Brady's ball over the top released Salter and he held off the challenge from Anthony Lawler to slot home. We Pats struggling to get into the game the second arrived shortly afterwards, this time Crig Comerford opening the visitors defence for Salter to net again. The game was as good as over when Salter netted his third from the penalty spot on the half hour. Never a side to ease up, Crettyard added 3 more before the break, Gearoid Cuddihy crossed for David Kelly to head home at the back post for the fourth before Cuddihy got on the scoresheet himself after United were awarded a second penalty. Kelly finished off the first half scoring with a neat volley, Comerford again with the assist as Crettyard went into half time 6-0 ahead. Pats managed to hold it together in the second half and created a few half chances for Liam Byrne, Chris Gual and Jamie Malone but all were wide of the mark. At the other end Danny Curry made a couple of fine saves to keep Crettyard at bay but United did have the final say as Cuddihy netted his second late on as he controlled Danny Doyle'cross and slotted a seventh for the hosts who had stand out showings on the day from Craig Comerford, David Kelly and Danny Doyle. Best for Pats were Chris Gaul, Danny Moran, Anto Lawlor and Dylan Costigan

Hanover Harps v St. Patricks Boys
Prem League 13/02 11:00
Hanover Harps 1 - 2 St. Patricks Boys

Hanover Harps 1

St Patrick's Boys 2

St Pat's picked up a huge win in their battle to avoid relegation as David Brennan's goal 15 minutes from time earned them the points and lifts them out of the bottom two. The heavy overnight rain saw the game switched to St Pat's and that helped them to settle. In an ultimately goalless first half both sides found clear sight of goal hard to come by. Hanover's Dylan Walsh forced a save from the Pats keeper as he hit a volley from distance after a corner was only half cleared. At the other end Jason Brennan was rarely troubled as Pats were also limited to shots from outside box and the sides went into the break at 0-0. The second half was 15 minutes in when Hanover took the lead, some excellent play down the left between Dylan Walsh and Pauric Coughlan saw Coughlan find Murt Bambrick on the edge of the area, Bambrick controlled the ball brilliantly before he rifled his shot into the roof of the net. Hanover only held their advantage for 8 minutes, Bobby Doogue's cross from the right found Chris Gaul, his shot was was goal bound but Brennan rushed in to make sure it hit the net. Doogue and Brennan were again involved in the winner on 75 minutes. A half-cleared corner fell to Doogue outside the box, he didn't connect cleanly with the ball but it fell nicely to Brennan 6 yards out and his neat back heal left Jason Brennan in the Harps goal with no chance. Hanover pushed forward late on and chances fell to Darragh Breen, Mark Davis and Stephen Chalton but none could convert and Pats held on for a vital 3 points thanks largely to the efforts of Tomas Murphy, Anto Lawlor and Tobi Jimoh. Best for Harps included Dylan Doyle, Dylan Walsh, Stephen Chalton and Murt Bamberick.

This was a very evenly fought game between two teams looking to get points on the board. St Pat’s took the lead after 20 minutes when Saiful Islam scored and Dolmen Celtic equalised two minutes later with a scramble in the box when Tyris Orock found the net from close range. Player of the match for Dolmen in a standout performance was Mubatsiri Mudawapi who showed fantastic strength all game on the ball and his passing was top class. Other standout performances were from Joshua Emanuel and Brandon Farrell. Best for St Pat’s was Enoch Olanase.

Prem League 06/02 11:00
Killeshin FC 7 - 0 St. Patricks Boys

Killeshin FC 7

St Patrick's Boys 0

Having gone 5 games without a 3 pointer Killeshin bounced back to winning ways in style as Kieran Hennessy and Adam Steed shared the goals, five of them coming in the second half. A cagey opening meant it was 20 minutes before either side got clear sight of goal, Steed seeing his effort well saved. Killeshin upped the tempo and 10 minutes before the break they opened the scoring via a volley from Hennessy's left boot. With half time approaching that lead was doubled, Dragos Mamaliga teeing up Steed to close from close range. The second half saw the hosts run riot. Steed scored his second and Killeshin's third on 52 minutes before Hennessy went on to complete his hat trick with 2 goals in 7 minutes. Steed completed his hat trick on 70 minutes to make it 6-0. The closest St Pats came to a goal was a Liam Byrne free kick which was cleared off the line. Killeshin and Hennessy would have the final word though as he notched his fourth of the game late on to finish off the scoring and reward the efforts of Bryan Lawlor, John Fleming, Pierce Bergazzi and Ian Brennan. Best for Pats on the day were Liam Byrne and Chris Gaul.

Ballymurphy Celtic v St. Patricks Boys
Prem League 30/01 11:00
Ballymurphy Celtic 2 - 2 St. Patricks Boys
This draw, combined with Dolmen's win means just a point separates the bottom 3 in the battle to avoid relegation. The strong breeze played a big part, making it for either side to play constructive football. The opening goal arrived for the hosts on 20 minutes, a free kick into the Pats area caused havoc and after a few hashed attempts at clearances the ball fell to Alan Curran who slotted into the bottom corner. Pats battled back and were level 10 minutes before the break, Liam Byrne swung in a free kick and Anto Lawlor headed home to make it 1-1. The last chance of the first half fell to Celtic's Anthony Jordan but his effort just shaved the top of the crossbar on its way over. The restart saw Ballymurphy with the strong wind in their backs and they dominated possession. A Jason Cogley corner created a chance for Thomas Doyle but it was well saved on 60 minutes. Celtic kept pushing and the pressure yielded a penalty with 20 minutes left. Doyle was fouled in the area and Kevin Foley dispatched the spot kick to restore the home sides lead. Pats weren't done however and with 10 minutes left they made it 2-2, Bobby Doogue crossing for Danny Moran to square things up again. The closest anyone came to a winner late on was a half volley from Celtic's Anthony Jordan which came back off the crossbar. In the end the draw was probably a fair result but both teams know 3 pointers will be needed to pull away from the drop zone. Best for Ballymurphy on the day were Luke Kavanagh, Jamie Doyle, Kevin Foley, and Alan Curran while impressing for the visitors were Dylan Costigan, Chris Gaul and Jake Nolan.

Hanover Harps v St. Patricks Boys
U19 League 15/01 14:30
Hanover Harps 3 - 1 St. Patricks Boys
Hanover claimed the points in their first game after the Christmas break thanks to a brace from Jack Murphy and an Eoghan Byrne strike. Harps squandered a series of chances in the opening 15 minutes, Jarno Fischer fired over from 12 yards, Byrne saw his volley from 6 yards somehow saved by the keeper and another Fischer effort was well saved as the hosts went in search of the opening goal. On 20 minutes Hanover broke the deadlock, Adam McCarron's pinpoint free kick finding Byrne at the back post to score from close range. 10 minutes later the lead was doubled, brilliant play down the left between Brandon Kelly and Ryan Brady saw Brady cross for the inrushing Jack Murphy, his volley from 10 yards giving the keeper no chance. Hanover kept pressing and Mikee Horohan will know how he headed wide from 3 yards on the stroke of half time as another chance came went. Pats were better in the opening 15 minutes of the second half but couldn't pick out their runners from a series of long balls over the top of the Hanover back line and just after the hour Harps struck for a third time to wrap up the points. Murphy again on target as he cut in off the left wing before firing low across the keeper into the bottom corner. The post denied Murphy his hat trick on 75 minutes before the visitors got a late consolation through Kieran Nolan as he reacted quickest to a loose ball at the back post to leave it 3-1 at the end. Best for Hanover were Kyle Foley, Dylan Doyle, Brandon Kelly, and Ryan Brady.

Prem League 12/12 11:00
Slaney Rovers 4 - 0 St. Patricks Boys

Slaney Rovers 4

St Patrick's Boys 0

Rovers ran out convincing winners as St Pats slipped to a sixth straight loss and sit bottom of the pile as we near the half point in the league. The first half was a tight enough affair with few clear chances for either side. Chris Gaul had the visitors best chance on the half hour but couldn't convert when well placed and 5 minutes later they paid the price as Slaney hit the front. Gareth Doyle's inch perfect cross from the left wing was brilliantly headed to the net by Lubohir Lesko to put the hosts ahead. Tomas Murphy wasted a chance to equalise 5 minutes later as Rovers held their lead into the break. Within minutes of the restart Pats lost a man to a red card and lost another goal shortly afterwards. Colm O'Connor released Lesko down the left and once he cut inside he curled a beauty into the far corner vi's the foot of the post to make it 2-0. St Pats rallied and Murphy saw 2 efforts well saved before Rovers added number 3, Conor O’Brien's pass finding Dominic Byrne unmarked in the six yard box as he slotted home the third on 70 minutes. With time running out and the 10 men of Pats starting to tire Rovers netted a fourth, Andy Foley teeing up O'Brien for a goal his performance deserved. Best for Slaney were Rob O'Neill, Mick Foley and Eoin Curran. While Tomas Murphy, Chris Gaul, David Brennan and Liam Byrne battled to the end for St Pats.

Evergreen FC v St. Patricks Boys
U19 LFA 04/12 14:00
Evergreen FC 3 - 1 St. Patricks Boys

Evergreen AFC 3 – 1 St Patrick’s Boys AFC.

Evergreen had St Pat’s on the back foot, as they scored two goals in the first quarter and this left St Pat’s with much work to do, in order t try and get on level terms.

St Pat’s had an opportunity to pull a goal back, when they were awarded a penalty, on the half hour mark, but the ball hit the post and rebounded to safety.

Just before half-time Evergreen scored a third goal, when a free – kick deflected off St Pat’s defensive wall and into the bottom corner and Evergreen took that comfortable 3 – 0 lead, into the interval.

St Pat’s made a much better start to the second-half and just before the hour mark, St Pat’s were awarded a second penalty and Cian Kelly ‘buried’ the ball in the bottom corner to make the score 3-1 and everything to play for.

Both sides had chances to score, but they were all missed and the final score was 3-1 to Evergreen and they progress to the next round of the Cup.
