Parkville United v Killeshin FC
Prem League 17/04 11:00
Parkville United 1 - 2 Killeshin FC

Killeshin claimed the points in this keenly contested tie courtesy of a Dragos Mamaliga brace, the win not enough to leapfrog their hosts to a third-place finish in the league. Parkville's Tom Pollard came close to opening the scoring on 15 minutes but was denied by the keeper. Nick Nolan then saw his effort saved before Killeshin hit the front midway through the half. Dragos Mamaliga going on a surging run before scoring with a super effort to the bottom corner. Killeshin controlled the game for the next 10 minutes but Jason Murphy pulling off a couple of fine saves to keep Parkville in the

game. The second half saw more of the same with a closely fought game and chances at a premium. Nick Nolan brought another good save from the Killeshin keeper on the hour mark before Joe Sunderland was also denied an equaliser by a smart save. Parkville paid for those missed chances with 20 minutes left when a brilliant free kick from Mamaliga flew into the top corner. In fairness to Parkville, they kept going and were rewarded for their efforts 5 minutes from time, Ronan Healy won a corner and Tommy Murphy's excellent delivery was flicked on by Cian Madden to the back of the net to give United hope. Killeshin had to withstand a few nervous moments before the final whistle but held on for the points. Best for Parkville were Robbie Sheridan and Nick Nolan. Best for Killeshin were Dragos Maliga, Micheal O Rourke, Bryan Lawler and Ian Brennan.

Kilree Celtic v Killeshin FC
Prem League 20/03 11:00
Kilree Celtic 4 - 2 Killeshin FC
Kilree came out on top in this mid table clash, all the goals coming in the second half, Kilree getting 3 in the final 15 minutes to win it. Although goalless the first half had its moments. Kilree's Peter Abbey and Killeshin's Kieran Hennessy both failed to hit the target when we'll placed in the opening 15 minutes. Adam Steed then had a great chance to open the scoring for the visitors but after rounding the keeper, Nathan Byrne, he ran out of road as the ball ran over the end line as the sides went into the break at 0-0. 10 minutes into the second half Killeshin broke the deadlock, John Fleming converting at the back post from Dylan Roche's cross. 5 minutes later the sides were level, Victor Watkins was fouled in the penalty area and Alan Salter converted from 12 yards to make it 1-1. Back came Killeshin and they looked good for the points when Michael O'Rourke released Hennessy on goal to restore the lead with 20 minutes left on the clock. But thereafter it was all Kilree, Gary Dillon equalised on 75 minutes when he reacted quickest to the loose ball after Victor Watkins saw his effort saved. Celtic took the lead 7 minutes from time when a long throw from Chris Blake was headed home by David MacDonald and with Killeshin out of ideas it was Kilree and Alan Salter that finished off the scoring, a sublime 30-yard chip finding the net as Kilree claimed the points. Best for the winners were Victor Watkins, Alan Salter, and Mark MacDonald. Killeshin had good showings from Liam Seery, Dylan Roche, and Neil O'Callaghan.

Killeshin FC v Ballymurphy Celtic
u19 cup 19/03 14:30
Killeshin FC 8 - 4 Ballymurphy Celtic
The away side started the brightest an used a storing wind to their advantage with high balls causing the Killeshin defence trouble. They found themselves three up inside the first twenty minutes. They went 1-0 up from a through ball from Tim Brennan to Luke Joyce who slotted the ball home from 5 yards out. Ballymurphy didn't have it all their own way and it took some solid keeping from Sean Tracy to keep Ballymurphy in the game. Ballymurphy went 2-0 up when Luke Fenlon swung in a freekick from the semi-circle, and it took a deflection and lobbed their own keeper. Killeshin fought hard against the wind and got one back when Scott Roycroft got in one on one and slotted home to half the deficit. The visitors doubled the lead again when a long kickout from Sean Tracey took an awkward bounce and caught their keeper off guard and lobbed him. Roycroft got in again soon after and netted a second before the away side went four two up after an own goal. Roycroft struck twice more before the break to leave it four a piece at the half. Killeshin took the game to the away side in the second half an played them off the pitch some unbelievable periods of link up play cutting the bally defence apart. John O’ Shea netted a fine hat trick and Roycroft got a fifth to put the home side into the cup final. Best for Killeshin were Terry French, Aaron Scully, and Aaron Dorgan. Best for Ballymurphy were Luke Joyce, Tim Brennan, and Eoin Coleman

Hanover Harps 1 - 1 Killeshin FC
Killeshin set themselves up for a chance of winning the league and cup double after they came out the right side of the penalty shoot out on Saturday. Both teams struggled to produce the kind of football they had played all season on a bobbly pitch and with several first teamers missing. It was a very even contest and when the final whistle went the penalty lottery could have gone either way with Killeshin’s Gaffney making the only save. Both sides started well with Killeshin playing down the pitch on a sunny day in the plots. It was Killeshin in the 15th minute who scored first with a quick corner from Killian Barry which rebounded of the post which fell to Tommy Hutton who finished well. Both sides kept attacking with Hanover coming close. It was Hanover who started better in the second half with a equaliser from Scott Dunne from a great cross. Both sides kept pushing but the game was heading for extra time. Both sides gave it everything, but nobody could get a goal with Hanover going so close with a free kick in the last minute and game headed to penalties. Michael Gaffney saved the second penalty which Tobi Salmon and finished a great penalty for which Killeshin won. Best players for Killeshin were Tommy Hutton, Killian Barry and Kyle Holden. Best for Hanover were Mark O’ Brien and Alex Clifford.

Dragos Mamaliga netted a second half brace as Killeshin made it 3 wins on the bounce to move into third place. By contrast Celtic remain level on points with Dolmen at the bottom in the battle to avoid the drop. Killeshin had already created openings for Kieran Hennessy and Adam Steed before Ballymurphy opening the scoring on 20 minutes, Anthony Jordan played Thomas Doyle in on goal and his inch perfect chip found the net via the underside of the crossbar to put the hosts ahead. That lead only lasted 7 minutes, Niall Scully's cross caused panic in the Celtic penalty area and when the ball fell to Hennessy he slotted just inside the post for 1-1. Killeshin pushed on from there but it remained level at the break. The tempo was upped in the second half as both teams made light of a difficult breeze. Thomas Doyle and Anthony Jordan both had efforts saved for Celtic before the hour, but when the chance came to Killeshin they tucked it away. Adam Steed's cross evaded everyone except Mamaliga at the back post who made no mistake to make it 2-1 in the visitors favour. There's plenty of fight in this Celtic side and they were level 20 minutes from time, Jack Foley cooly picking his spot after been played in by MJ Doran and it looked like Celtic would get a very valuable point but with 5 minutes left Killeshin and Mamaliga struck again. Joyce Tsumbu beat his marker down the right before crossing for Steed, his effort was saved but the rebound fell to Mamaliga to net the winner and break Celtic hearts and reward a solid team performance from the visitors. Best for Ballymurphy included Thomas Doyle, Kevin Foley and Jack Foley.

League champions Killeshin travelled all the way to Ballymurphy as they started their campaign to win the double. Ballymurphy were determined to cause a shock, but it wasn’t to be as the league winners set up a thrilling semi-final against league runners up Hanover. Both teams started well in a cold day in Ballymurphy. The pitch conditions could not let both teams play along the ground. It was Killeshin who scored first with an over-the-top ball by Dylan Williamson to Michael Dooley who finished well in the 25th minute. Killeshin kept up the pressure and found another goal when Ryan Harrington made a great run down the wing and played it back to Dylan Williamson who fired home a volley into the top right-hand corner. The game finished 2-0 to Killeshin with a great fight by Ballymurphy in the second half. Best players from Killeshin were Darragh Byrne, Killian Barry and Dylan Williamson.

Having gone 5 games without a 3 pointer Killeshin bounced back to winning ways in style as Kieran Hennessy and Adam Steed shared the goals, five of them coming in the second half. A cagey opening meant it was 20 minutes before either side got clear sight of goal, Steed seeing his effort well saved. Killeshin upped the tempo and 10 minutes before the break they opened the scoring via a volley from Hennessy's left boot. With half time approaching that lead was doubled, Dragos Mamaliga teeing up Steed to close from close range. The second half saw the hosts run riot. Steed scored his second and Killeshin's third on 52 minutes before Hennessy went on to complete his hat trick with 2 goals in 7 minutes. Steed completed his hat trick on 70 minutes to make it 6-0. The closest St Pats came to a goal was a Liam Byrne free kick which was cleared off the line. Killeshin and Hennessy would have the final word though as he notched his fourth of the game late on to finish off the scoring and reward the efforts of Bryan Lawlor, John Fleming, Pierce Bergazzi and Ian Brennan. Best for Pats on the day were Liam Byrne and Chris Gaul.

Nurney Villa 1 - 3 Killeshin FC
This win for Killeshin along with their two arch-rivals drawing means they just need to win their final game to be crowned champions. It was a good start by Nurney and were unlucky not to take the lead on 5 minutes when Oisín Maloney hit the crossbar with a great header from play. The game evened out for the next 10 minutes with both sides searching for the opener that finally went to Nurney when Oisín Maloney put the ball into the bottom right-hand corner of the Killeshin net on 16 minutes. Killeshin chased and with the aid of the wind got the equaliser on 26 minutes with a goal from Ben Slattery after a defensive mistake. Killeshin pressed as the half went on and hit the upright on 39 minutes but couldn’t score leaving half time score: 1 all. Nurney were under pressure from the off with Thomas Bermingham pulling off a great save on 48 minutes to keep the score even. Killeshin were awarded a penalty on 49 minutes which was converted by Kyle Kehoe to put Killeshin in front. Killeshin continued to make life uncomfortable for Nurney and punished the home team again with a goal from play on 56 minutes through James Comerford. Thomas Bermingham continued to keep Nurney in the game with some great saves and even having the wind behind them was not enough to close the gap. The rest of the half was fairly even with chances for both teams that couldn't be converted. Nurney's best players were Oisin Maloney, Thomas Bermingham and Luke Brennan while for Killeshin best players were Ben Slattery, James Comerford and Jack Hynes.

Dolmen Celtic v Killeshin FC
U19 League 15/01 14:30
Dolmen Celtic 0 - 2 Killeshin FC

A goal in each half saw Killeshin emerge with the three points from Ashgrove on Saturday afternoon. The away side were in fine form early in the game when on 5 minutes a quick throw in saw Aaron Dorgan released down the right side and he crossed to John O'Shea whose effort was narrowly wide of the target. After 12 minutes, Dorgan was involved again. This time a sublime defence splitting pass with the outside of his boot found Scott Roycroft. Roycroft who's run brought him inside the back four beating the offside made no mistake and his effort settled in the bottom right-hand corner of the goal. 0-1 to the away side. Dolmen responded with a free kick some minutes later which was denied by Lee Byrne in the Killeshin goal, the first of many fine saves by Lee on the day. Killeshin continued to threaten and Dorgan and Roycroft were both involved again this time only to be denied by the keeper. The remainder of the half was evenly contested.

In the second half Dolmen started brightly but the away side dug in and frustrated their efforts. Dorgan and Roycroft were a real problem for Dolmen and Roycroft was to go close on two more occasions before he got his second of the day from the penalty spot after Ivan Murphy had been taken down inside the 18 yards. Scott Roycroft made no mistake to double the lead on 49 minutes. Killeshin were reduced to 10 men on the hour but never looked like conceding and held the home side to long range efforts thanks to an outstanding defensive effort from Jake Haughney, Daniel Core and Lee Byrne in the goal. Best for Killeshin were Arron Scully, Conor Harte, Sean McGrath.
