Hanover Harps v Ballymurphy Celtic
Premier Division 27/10 11:00
Hanover Harps 2 - 2 Ballymurphy Celtic

Hanover Harps 2

Ballymurphy Celtic 2

A late Thomas Doyle header earned Ballymurphy a point as Hanover will be left wondering just how they didn't take all 3 points. Bally scored on 3 minutes and again 3 minutes from time but in between Hanover dominated for long periods. The visitors got off to a dream start, Jason Cogley's corner was only half cleared to the waiting MJ Doran and his neatly struck volley flew into the bottom corner from 25 yards. Thereafter Hanover dominated the half. Simon O'Shea saw not one but two efforts come back off the crossbar before Harps were awarded a penalty for handball. Jason Murphy calmly slotting home from the spot on the half hour. 10 minutes later Hanover were in front, O'Shea's pass opened up the Celtic back line for Colin Campion who neatly lobbed the advancing keeper to put Hanover 2-1 ahead at the break. Moments after the restart Bally's Anto Jordan seized on a loose pass but his effort from outside the box smashed off the crossbar and away. Phil Neenan had a glorious chance to put the game to bed for the hosts with 10 minutes left but with almost too much time to pick his spot he could only pick out the foot of the post. Hanover paid the price for a series of missed chances when Jack Foley crossed for Doyle to head home and earn Ballya share of the spoils. Best for Hanover included Corey Connolly, Cathal Coughlan and Stephen Chalton. Ballymurphy had impressive showings from MJ Doran, Thomas Doyle and Jack Foley.

Ballymurphy Celtic 0 - 1 Parkville United

Ballymurphy Celtic 0

Parkville United 1

A goal two minutes from time saw United claim the points in Borris on Sunday.

In an even first half there were chances at both ends, Phil Cresswell denied a goal for Celtic by a last-ditch tackle and Jack Foley causing all sorts of problems for the Parkville rear guard

The second half saw Celtic apply a little more pressure and they almost had the lead on 65 minutes when a Thomas Doyle free kick clipped the wrong side of the post and went wide. Jason Cogley then saw the Parkville keeper make an excellent save before United broke down field with two minutes left to score and break Celtic hearts.

Best for Celtic included Mark Moloney, Jamie Doyle and MJ Doran.
