Ballymurphy Celtic 0 - 1 New Oak Boys
New Oak moved to within touching distance of claiming the Premier Division title as bn see the Boys crowned champions. In a quiet first half chances were scarce. Jamie Doyle and Kevin Foley were impressing down the left for Celtic but couldn't get clear sight of goal At the other end Kyle Foley in the hosts goal snuffed any danger from some quality crosses from Daryl Coleman and Dylan Keightley. The best chance of the half fell to New Oak's Conor Byrne after great work from Lee Walker and Paul Broderick but Byrne's effort was well saved by Kyle Foley and the sides went into half time goalless. New Oak upped the tempo on the restart and the fist opening of the half fell to Lee Walker after Will Hayes beat his man to make the space but Walkers shot just cleared the crossbar. The introduction of Jamie Murphy and Lee Gordon gave New Oak the cutting edge they were lacking and nearly paid instant dividends when Murphy set up Paul Broderick, but he failed to test Foley in Celtic goal. Thomas Doyle also failed to find the target at other end but it was a rare excursion up field and as the half wore on New Oak began to turn the screw. After wasting some good possession and with time almost up New Oak finally got their goal. Jamie Murphy's brilliant cross from the right was met with a firm header from Lee Gordon, that was saved by Foley but Gordon managed to scramble the rebound into the net to claim the points and move New Oak ever so close to retaining the title. Best for the winners on the day were Cathal Gaffney, Chris Bermingham, Will Hayes and Cian Dowling. Celtic's best included Jack Cummins, Paul Foley and Jamie Doyle.

New Oak Boys 4

Harding FC 0

A brace from Lee Walker helped New Oak book their place in the last 8 of The LFA Cup as they comfortably saw off the challenge of the Ringsend outfit on Burrin Celtic's all weather pitch. Playing with aid of the breeze in the first half New Oak set about finding goals. Roy Byrne had the first real chance 10 minutes in when he was released by Dean Kelly but an excellent bit of goalkeeping kept him at bay. New Oak did get their goal 10 minutes later though, the Harding keeper this time the villain as he spilled a delivery from a corner and Cathal Gaffney was on hand to bundle the ball home for 1-0. Lee Walker grabbed his first and New Oak's second just after the half hour, Cian Dowling found Walker in space 25 yards from goal and his shot on the turn found the top corner as The Boys went into half time 2 goals up. New Oak defended their lead well in the early stages of the second half and when opportunities presented themselves they made no mistakes. Just after the hour they pressed the Harding keeper into a mistake and his attempt at a clearance only found Walker who slotted home the third. With 15 minutes left Dean Kelly got the goal his play deserved when he finished emphatically after fininding himself 1 v 1 with the goalkeeper. Best on the day for a New Oak side who will have no fear of the big names left in the competition were Cathal Gaffney, Cian Dowling, Dean Kelly, Lee Murphy and Daryl Coleman.

New Oak Boys v Slaney Rovers
Prem League 30/01 11:00
New Oak Boys 5 - 0 Slaney Rovers
New Oak took full advantage of the game between Parkville and Crettyard being postponed increasing their lead at the top to 6 points. New Oak started with intent and Dean Kelly's free kick brought a fine save from Fergal Harmon after just 5 minutes. The hosts had the opening goal 5 minutes later, James McGrath, Graham Delaney and Dylan Keighley all involved before Keighley picked out Lee Walker at the back post to make it 1-0. Slaney had a couple of chances on the break but neither Robert Ryan or Joe Thompson could find the target when we'll placed. Thereafter New Oak turned the screw. Kelly pounced on some poor defending to slot home number 2 just after the half hour and Kelly was again involved in the hosts third before half time, Kelly's effort came back off the foot of the post but Daryl Coleman was on hand to slot home the rebound as the hosts went into the break with a commanding lead. The second half was more of the same as The Boys dominated possession and on the hour mark Kelly notched his second of the game, Delaney and Lee Walker combining to create the opening. Rovers had a couple of the chances on the break for Peter Keogh that came to nothing before a brilliant delivery from a James McGrath corner flew straight to the net to finish off the scoring. Dean Kelly, Graham Delaney, Lee Walker and Cathal Gaffney stood out for the winners while Lubohir Lesko, Shane Murphy and Paddy Farrell battled to the end for Rovers.

Kilree Celtic v New Oak Boys
Prem League 16/01 11:00
Kilree Celtic 0 - 3 New Oak Boys
Graham Delaney came off the bench in the second half to score twice and seal another win for New Oak as they remain 3 points clear of second placed Parkville. The visitors started well and opened the scoring on 10 minutes. Dean Kelly's superb pass split the Kilree back line for Lee Walker to slot home into the far corner. Kilree almost equalised on the half hour, New Oak failed to clear a cross, and the ball fell to an unmarked Alan Salter, but his effort was scrambled off the line by David O'Shea. The visitors had a chance to extend their lead just before the break, but Cathal Gaffney's header cleared the crossbar and New Oak had to be content with a one goal half time advantage. The second half saw New Oak dominate possession as they went in search of a second goal, Lee Walker found himself one on one with the keeper but couldn't find the net on hour mark. With 20 minutes left the visitors introduced Delaney and his impact was almost instant as he picked up a loose inside the Kilree area before smashing a shot on the turn past the keeper at his near post. With 10 minutes left Delaney repeated the trick, Jordan Harmon made yards down the right wing and picked out Delaney with his back to goal, Delaney's first touch taking the defender out of the game as he sot on the turn to fire home New Oak's third to kill the game off and reward the efforts of Lee Murphy, David O'Shea, Dean Kelly and Jordan Harmon. Best for Kilree were Brian O'Rourke, Chris Blake and David MacDonald.

New Oak Boys 5 - 1 Killeshin FC
New Oak reeled off another impressive win in their persuit of the title to go 3 points clear of Parkville at the top. Killeshin are a good side but 2 losses in December left their title ambitions hanging by a thread, but they started well here, hitting the opening goal after just 9 minutes, Michael O'Rourke heading home from a Julian Strain corner. New Oak were level 10 minutes later, Jordan Harmon won a free kick on the right and Dean Kelly's inch perfect delivery from the dead ball found David Doyle to make it 1-1. Killeshin's Kieran Hennessy had a chance to restore the lead for the visitors but his effort was well saved. On the half a thunderbolt from James McGrath found the roof of the net to give The Boys a 2-1 lead after the Killeshin defence failed to deal with Harmon cross. The second half saw New Oak dominate and on 58 minutes they stretched their lead, Harmon released Conor Byrne down the right wing and Byrne's cross was headed home by Lee Walker for 3-1. A near post header from Walker 7 minutes later made it 4-1 as Killeshin just couldn't keep pace with a rampant New Oak. The visitors best chances were coming from set pieces but neither O'Rourke or Hennessy could convert when the chances were presented and it was New Oak that would wrap up the scoring with 5 minutes left on the clock, debutant Jamie Murphy saw his effort well saved but Dean Kelly was on hand to knock in the rebound to leave it 5-1 at the end. Impressing for New Oak were James McGrath, Dean Kelly, Lee Walker and Jordan Harmon. Killeshin's best included Aaron Donnolly, Niall Scully and John Fleming.

New Oak Boys 6

St Patrick's Boys 1

On a day when most of their title rivals slipped up New Oak cruised to an easy win over a disappointing St Pats. New Oak were in game mode from the off and were in front inside 2 minutes, Paul Broderick saw his effort saved but Lee Walker was on hand to pounce on the rebound to put the hosts in front. Broderick and Dean Kelly were pulling the strings for New Oak and before the 20-minute mark had passed it was 3-0, Conor Byrne and Graham Delaney getting their names on the scoresheet. With the visitors posing little or no threat New Oak added a fourth before half time from a penalty, Dean Kelly with the spot kick to see the hosts comfortably ahead at the break. New Oak added number five midway through the half, David Doyle finishing off a fine move before Pats got their consolation, a Mark Delaney free kick. There was still time for Greg Sykula to net number 6 for the hosts before the referee called time to put St Pats out of their misery. Impressing for New Oak were Paul Broderick, Dean Kelly, Graham Delaney, and Dylan Keighley. Best for Pats were Thomas Murphy and Chris Gaul.

Slaney Rovers 1 - 2 New Oak Boys

Slaney Rovers 1

New Oak Boys 2

Two goals in the opening 15 minutes ultimately proved enough for New Oak to claim the points in this keenly contested tie in Rathvilly. The Boys started really well and were ahead inside 5 minutes, Dean Kelly and Jamie McGrath combining to letal effect as they set up Conor Byrne to make it 1-0. With New Oak controlling the middle of the park the second goal arrived 10 minutes later, Lee Murphy fed the ball to David Doyle, his touch on the turn created the space for him to shot across the keeper and into the far corner via the post. Slaney grew into the game and only a goal line clearance from Graham Delaney stopped Shane Murphy's header from reducing the arrears before the break. Slaney came out really strong after the interval with Keelan Gaffney in the New Oak goal producing saves to deny Murphy again and Dan O'Brien. But Slaney kept plugging away, Gareth Doyle's effort beat Gaffney but not the crossbar before Rovers eventually got the goal their play deserved with 25 minutes left. Mick Foley's pass opened the Boys rearguard for Joe Thompson and he made no mistake from 6 yards as he cut the lead in half. With time running out Shane Murphy's goal bound effort was brilliantly tipped away by Gaffney for what proved to be a match winning save as New Oak held on for the points. Best for Rovers on the day were Mick Foley, Lubohir Lesko and Shane Murphy while impressing for New Oak were Keelan Gaffney in goal, Cathal Gaffney, Conor Byrne and Dylan Keighley.

Castle Rangers v New Oak Boys
KCLR Shield 12/09 11:00
Castle Rangers 0 - 7 New Oak Boys

A local derby to wrap up this shield group and New Oak needed to win to make sure of qualification for the quarter final. The game started with both teams trying to play with a quick tempo. The counterattack was the main threat for the home side, and they almost made it count on fifteen minutes when they broke at pace but a last-ditch tackle from David O'Shea spared New Oak from going behind. New oak began to take control of the game from here and made it one nil on twenty minutes when a beautiful, floated cross from Dean Kelly was headed in by James McGrath at the back post. With castle still sitting in waiting for the counter New Oak broke down the left on thirty minutes and another beautiful cross this time from David Doyle was volleyed home again at the back post but this time it was Graham Delaney with the finish. The second started in the same way with New Oak dominating the ball and castle sitting in, the third goal came when a through ball was blocked with a Castle Rangers hand for a penalty. Dean Kelly stepped up and slotted it home nicely.

Five minutes later the Castle Rangers keeper delayed on a ball back to him only for Dean Kelly to slot home for he's second. With new oak playing with confidence now the fifth goal was a ball slipped down the right side of the box for Lee Gordon to then roll it across the six yard and David Doyle finish. With the game effectively over now and New Oak starting to enjoy playing and the pick of the goals came on 75 minutes with a passing move that started with Sean Geoghan in goal and worked down the right side of the field where Lee walker slipped Dean Kelly through, and he finished nicely. The seventh was similar with Dean Kelly, David Doyle , Lee Gordon and Graham Delaney linking up and again finished by Dean Kelly . This was a good workout for both teams and Castle Rangers played some good football especially in the first half when they were causing problems on the break.

Parkville United v New Oak Boys
KCLR Shield 22/08 11:00
Parkville United 3 - 5 New Oak Boys
This was a rip-roaring encounter at the lane played at frantic pace with Parkville quick out of the blocks. Joe Sunderland almost opened the scoring when his free kick hit the underside of the bar but bounced out. On 10 minutes, New Oak broke the deadlock with a well worked corner from Dean Kelly and David Doyle resulting in Lee walker heading in at the back post. Soon after Parkville were back on terms when Kuba Dobosz got on the end of a Dillon Kenny corner to power home his header to the top corner. Five minutes later and Paddy Hickey and Dylan Sheridan caused mayhem in the box from another Kenny corner with Joe Sunderland scrambling home his diving header to give Parkville a 2-1 lead on 20 minutes. Shortly after, New Oak equalised following a break away when Graham Delaney scored. Both teams needed a breather and the game looked to be heading in all square at the break before New Oak got a third from Daryl Coleman right on the stroke of half time. Parkville were quick out of the blocks in the second half and Jack Kennedy rattled the woodwork on 50 minutes but somehow New Oak kept the ball out. The pace never let up and both sides emptied the benches. On 70 minutes, Parkville had their equaliser when Michael Dobosz was fouled in the box and Joe Sunderland stepped up to score from the spot to make it 3-3. With the game looking set for a draw, that little bit of experience saw New Oak over the line as they scored the fourth when Lee walker beat three Parkville men and slotted calmly to the opposing net. With Parkville all out in search of the equaliser, New Oak tagged on the 5th in injury time when David Doyle made no mistake from a tight angle. Best on the day for Parkville were, Kuba Dobosz, Eoin Dempsey and Joe Sunderland. Best for new oak was Pa Kavanagh, Dean Kelly , Lee walker and Graham Delaney .
