Parkville United v New Oak Boys
Premier Division 18/11 11:00
Parkville United 0 - 3 New Oak Boys

Parkville United 0

New Oak Boys 3

Second half goals from Conor Byrne (2) and Jordan Harmon saw New Oak join Crettyard at the top of the table, only goal difference separating two of the league’s heavyweights.

New Oak began well and with Conor Byrne, Harmon and Greg Sykula linking up well they could have poached an early lead. United were also probing for an opening but with neither defence yielding the teams went into the break goalless.

The second half saw New Oak take the field with a little more urgency and the opening goal arrived on 60 minutes. A short corner arrived at the feet of Harmon and his cross was slotted home by Conor Byrne for 1-0. 15 minutes later the goal of the game arrived. Sykula fed the ball to Harmon some 30 yards from goal, there appeared little danger but with a deft swing of his left foot he curled an effort right into the top corner to put New Oak in the driving seat. Any hopes of a Parkville comeback were gone with ten minutes left, Cian Dowling burst down the wing and crossed for Byrne to net his second and the Boys third and secure a fourth league win for the visitors.

New Oak’s best included goal scorers Jordon Harmon and Conor Byrne with Cian Dowling also impressing.
