The second half was much of the same as first with both teams pushing hard to open up the defenses. Eric Mackey, Conor Perse and Daniel Mackey did go close for Mill but that was as good as it got for the hosts. With 15 minutes left on the clock, the first real chance presented itself from a long ball into the Mill box which rebounded around off several defenders to Darragh Kelly who saw his shot saved by Cody Dempsey in the Mill goal and he could only parry it back into the path of Dempsey to tap home to put Crettyard 1 up. Mill responded well and pushed for the equalizer but were not able to breach a stubborn Crettyard defense. 1 nil the game ended. Best for Crettyard we’re John Brennan, Jamie Conway, Keith Purcell while best for Mill were Mikey Sullivan, Paddy Dunne and Eric Mackey
