Parkville United 2
Kilree Celtic 3
Parkville lost in the league for the first time this season as Kilree made it 4 wins on the bounce. United were the better side for most of the first half, creating early chances for Nick Nolan and TJ Kavanagh but neither could trouble the Celtic net minder. United continued to probe and deservedly hit the front on the half hour, Tom Pollard cut in off the right wing before firing his effort to the net for the opening goal. Nick Nolan should have added to that but dragged his effort wide as half time approached. The second half saw a huge improvement from Kilree and within 8 minutes of the restart they were level, Peter Abbey teeing up Alan MacDonald to make it 1-1. Kilree's pressure yielded a second goal 15 minutes from time, Peter Abbey making the most of a mix up between two defenders as he picked up a loose ball in the box and his shot on the turn found the top corner. It was 3-1 to the visitors 10 minutes later, Tommy Cummins' header came back off the crossbar, but Abbey was on hand to knock in the rebound. Parkville did pull a goal back through Dylan Sheridan, but it was too little too late as Kilree rise to third in the table rewarding the efforts of Darragh O'Meara, Victor Watkins and Peter Abbey. United's best included Tom Pollard and Dylan Sheridan
