Dylan Wynne's first half strike was enough to earn Celtic the points and move them top of Group B, a win in their last game would see them through to the quarter finals. Bagenalstown started well enough but couldn't turn possession into goals, the couple of half chances they did create were easily dealt with by Harry Kirwan in the Celtic goal. As Mill grew into the game they started posing questions of the 'Town backline, Euan Cullan flashed an effort just wide when well-placed but that let off was short lived for the hosts as Wynne ran through on goal before neatly slotting home 10 minutes before the break. Bagenalstown responded well in the second half as they pushed hard for an equaliser but the closest, they came was when Cormac Lomax saw his effort from the edge of the box narrowly go over the bar. Celtic had chances to double the advantage, but Brian Mackey and Kyle Corcoran's efforts were well saved. The chances of a Bagenalstown leveller reduced further 10 minutes from time when they lost a man to a red card and Celtic comfortably held on for the win thanks largely to the efforts of Kirwan, Dylan Berry and Paddy Moore. Bagenalstown’s best were Robbie Kane, Cormac Lomax and Darren Crooks.
