Parkville dominated the game from the off as the game was only a contest for the first few minutes.

Parkville had two efforts ruled out for offside and Brian Condon went close but for a fingertip save. The Nurney defence held firm for 20 minutes before TJ Kavanagh opened the scoring with a great drive to the bottom corner. Soon after, Parkville were two up when Joe Morris finished a move that he started from left back following a great interchange with Kavanagh and Sean Maher on the left. Niall Byrne opened his account on the half hour with a neat finish. Cian Madden was anchoring the midfield with Paddy Byrne a constant threat up front and his efforts were rewarded with a fine goal on 40 mins. Joe Morris scored the goal of the game on the stroke of half time with a stunning chip with the outside of his left foot to give Parkville a comprehensive half time lead of 5-0.

There was no let-up in the Parkville attack in the second half and Paddy Byrne scored his second after two minutes with a super strike to the top corner. A series of corners from TJ Kavanagh saw Paddy Hickey score the seventh and Byrne Parkvilles eighth. Parkville went close to a ninth when Sean Maher saw his effort saved before James Lonergan put Barry Flynn through only to see his effort just wide. With time running out, Mark Behan made a lung bursting run through on goal and rounded the keeper but took a tackle that saw his effort just wide.

On a good day for Parkville, Joe Morris, Paddy Byrne and Michael Brown stood out whilst best for Nurney were Declan Murphy, Anthony Hogan and Liam Murphy.
