Parkville 1

St Joseph’s 7

Parkville hosted St Joseph's in the under17 league, St Joseph's started well and pressed hard from the off, the had a few wasteful chances before James Cranny put them ahead from a Charlie Deacy cross, on 25 minutes John Byrne added a second when he rose highest for a corner. Three minutes later St Joseph's added a third when Adam Segar tapped in after the ball came back off the post from a James Cranny shot. St Joseph's continued to press hard, and we're rewarded with a forth when a corner was turned into his own net by a Parkville defender. Leaving the half time score at 4-0 to the visitors. The second half started very flat from both sides however midway through the half Jamie Fitzharris slotted home at the back post from a Paddy Hogan cross, this seemed to spark St Joseph's again and with ten minutes left a fierce shot from Ross Moran found the top Corner, with only five minutes left, Paddy Hogan added a seventh running into a through ball. Parkville did have time for a consolation goal when Oisin Lyons lobbed the advancing St Joseph's keeper. Leaving a full-time score of 1-7, an outstanding team performance from St Joseph's with Dan Brennan playing an exceptional captain Role and Ross Moran the outstanding player of the match. Best for Parkville were Senan Murphy, Charlie Brennan, Kuba Konieczny, Rioghan O’Callaghan who caused problems with tireless effort after coming on up front.
