Kilree continued their good form when entertaining Parkville in Bagenalstown on Sunday.

The home side got an early foothold with a penalty on three minutes. Mark MacDonald was fouled in the box and Alan Salter scored the spot kick. They were spurred on by this but the visitors came more into the game as Cian Madden and Jason Hunter began to dominate midfield. They went close on a couple of occasions through T.J. Kavanagh, Dean Kelly and Paddy. The home side almost doubled their advantage before the break but Anto Moran in the Parkville goal made an excellent save to deny Mark MacDonald.

In the second half the game was end to end with Matt Decaux going close for the Tullow side on 55 minutes after good work by John Murphy and TJ Kavanagh. Kilree were awarded a free kick and Alan Salter found the top corner to give his side a 2-0 lead. Parkville never gave up and Matt Decaux was wide on 68 minutes while Dean Kelly saw his effort turned around the post for a corner on 75 minutes. The visitors were finally rewarded for their efforts when Henry Hegarty put David Orbinski through on goal on 85 minutes to set up a grandstand finish. Kilree held out for all three points thanks to the efforts of Stephen Salter, Victor Watkins and Mark MacDonald.

Best for Parkville were David Orbinski, Jason Hunter and Cian Madden.
