Killeshin FC 6
Ballymurphy Celtic 0
Adam Steed claimed a hat trick as Killeshin eased to the win over ten man Celtic.
Killeshin got off to a flyer as Steed netted after just six minutes, curling into the bottom corner from the edge of the box. Kevin Foley had a chance to square things up for the visitors but his shot was saved and Killeshin made the most of this let off as they doubled the lead just before the break, Steed again on the mark after been set up by Will Opoku.
Ballymurphy were in real trouble just after the break when they lost a man to a straight red and Killeshin made the most of their numerical advantage to wrap up the points. Opoku got on the scoresheet to make it 3-0 on 60 minutes before Steed completed his hat trick after been released on goal by Aaron McCafferty. Will Opoku netted his second and Killeshin’s fifth and Shane Coakley finished off the scoring with a neat lob to make it six.
Best for Killeshin were John Fleming, Adam Steed and Will Opoku. Celtic’s best included Jack Foley, Paul Traynor and Alan Curran.
