Dolmen Celtic 6

A third win in a stop start type season for Celtic see's them up to fourth in the Premier Division table. With Killeshin slow to start they were punished by the visitors with 2 goals in the opening 12 minutes, Graham Delaney with both. Joe Doran provided the first, his run and cross setting up Delaney to open the scoring. A powerful header for Delaney made it 2-0 shortly afterwards and Celtic were in the box seat. Killeshin were thrown a life line on 18 minutes when Will Opoku scored from close range to narrow the gap. That joy was short lived however and Colin Nolan was given the freedom of the six yard box at a corner as he duly headed home to restore Celtic's 2 goal advantage. Killeshin's woe's increased before half time as they wasted a penalty, Jamie Hennessy with the save before Celtic made the most of the let off to strike for a fourth and effectively kill the game off, Danny Thompson with the goal, curling home a 25 yard free kick to see Dolmen into the break 4-1 up. Killeshin did pull a goal back shortly after the restart, a mix up in the visitors back line resulting in an own goal. That spurred on Killeshin but as they pushed forward they left gaps at the back and Mark Davis exploited that space to make it 5-2 just after the hour. To their credit the Killeshin lads never dropped their heads but Celtic had the last word, Andy Brennan getting himself on the scoresheet with 8 minutes left. Best for Celtic were Graham Delaney, Colin Nolan and Micheal Meaney. Killeshin's best included Liam Dunne and Barry Ryan.
