St Joseph's 2 Crettyard United.0

This was a very hard fought game between two good sides .The first half was dominated by both defences and chances were hard to come by the few chances that were created good finishing was missing and both teams had to settle for 0-0 at half time .The second half was alot more open and both teams started to create chances as in the first half only the finishing touch was missing that was until the 65th min when Pauric Kenny pick up a ball on the right hand side and turned inside on his left and curled a great left foot shot into the top corner of the net from 20 yards out to break the deadlock it was a great finish to give St Joseph's the lead .Joeys were now playing with a lot more confidence and 5 mins later it was 2-0 when Daniel Donegan latched onto a long ball to lob the keeper for another fine finish .Crettyard United started to push forward in the last 20 mins and started to cause the home side a lot of problems and only for some poor finishing could have being back in the game but St Joseph's held out and could have scored again late on but if finished 2-0 to St Joseph's this was a great result for the home side in what was a very tough battle.
